In a stunning twist, the very part of the radish that we usually throw away just might be an anticancer superfood. A new study from Korea found that women eating at least 45 grams (1.5 cups) of radish greens weekly had an incredible 83% lower risk of #breastcancer. What makes this amazing green leafy vegetable so powerful? It’s a super-source of two cancer-fighting carotenoids: lutein (nearly as much as spinach) and beta-carotene (close to that of carrots) and has half a day’s supply of vitamin C. It's also loaded with flavonoids and also glucosinolates—which are precursors to #cancer fighting sulphur compounds similar to the sulforaphane found in broccoli.
